Gal Leshem Kyson's album truly gives you sense of flying, with this refreshing display of folk and tinges of soft electronic music. Favorite track: Flightless.
Ivan Ivanowsky

Ivan Ivanowsky An absolute dream. This is one of the softest projects I have had the luck and privilege to stumble upon. This is for sitting on the window sill on a rainy day. It is for quiet nights in your bedroom. Altogether, it wraps you into your surroundings, softening the differences between you and your world. Go for a walk in the woods on a cold day and let Kyson do the rest. Favorite track: A Song About The Future.

Lo Tide Hauntingly beautiful music. So much to love about this album and it just keeps getting better one listen after the other Favorite track: Pictures.

about

‘A Book Of Flying’ marks Kyson’s return to Friends of Friends and the follow-up to 2013’s ‘The Water’s Way’. 11 roomy, beatific songs are rounded around Kyson’s delicate vocal work, the album updating classic folk tropes with modern verve. Composed entirely by Kyson, the album is a sort of grown up bedroom album, full of contemplative instrumentation and songwriting that tugs at intrinsically human heartstrings. Whereas Kyson’s music has touched on the dancefloor in the past, ‘A Book Of Flying’ gives in entirely to his inward-looking proclivities and the result is his most complete work to date, a work of contemporary folk that paints a fluid picture of Kyson the artist.
